Costa dei Barbari is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 24th place out of 26 beaches in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region 17 km away from its center, the city of Triest. It is one of the beaches of Borgo San Mauro Naselje Svetega Mavra settlement, just 0.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. Moreover, this beach is popular with naturists.

Costa dei Barbari coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

The beach is a bit challenging to reach, but once you get there, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view and serene atmosphere. The light pebbles on the shore add to the unique charm of this beach, making it a great spot for a peaceful day by the water.

Although the beach may suffice for a quick dip, I wouldn't recommend spending a whole vacation there. It's advisable to wear shoes when entering the water. However, the water is crystal clear and refreshing.

I have never come across a beach quite like this before. The journey to reach it was quite challenging, requiring a steep ascent of almost 300 meters from the parking area. Despite the arduous climb, the beach was well worth the effort.

The coastline is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views that will leave you in awe. However, it's important to note that accessing the seashore by car might prove to be a bit difficult as most of the roads leading to it are private. But don't let that discourage you, as the walk down is worth it and adds to the overall experience of being surrounded by nature.

Accessing the beach is a bit of a trek, starting from the main road and continuing with a hike down a steep hill through the woods. The trail leading to the beach is a bit challenging, especially during the hot summer months, and may take up to 20 minutes to reach. However, the effort is well worth it as the beach is absolutely breathtaking. If you don't mind breaking a sweat, this beach is a must-visit destination. It's important to note that this hike is not recommended for individuals with disabilities. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with stunning views that make the journey all the more worthwhile.
