The pebble beach is stunning and conveniently reachable through a tunnel from Porto Santo Stefano. Additionally, the beach features brown, fine pebbles.
Dogs are not allowed on this beach and it can be accessed on foot by paying for parking. To reach the beach, you must travel about 700 meters through two tunnels that cross the cliff. The beach is small and only a portion of it is sandy, which is reserved for those who rent sunbeds and umbrellas from the establishment. The rest of the beach is made up of small pebbles and has a shoreline that spans only a few meters. The water is crystal clear and inviting, but it is not bordered by red buoys, which means that yachts and small boats passing through to the port can get too close.
The beach is covered in fine brown pebbles and has a mossy bottom. Upon arrival, there is a secure parking lot with a guard, followed by a walk through two tunnels to reach the beach.
This beach is absolutely amazing and an ideal spot for swimming all day long, from 7am until 7pm. To get to the beach, you'll take a stroll through an old railroad tunnel that leads to other beaches along the way.
The beach is decently appealing and offers nice vistas of Porto Santo Stefano, but it's rocky, the vicinity appears rather dilapidated, and the water doesn't seem particularly pristine (snorkeling isn't the greatest). Monte Argentario has several superior beaches to choose from.
