About Grosseto

At first glance, the diversity of the beaches of the Grosseto does not have a prominent distinctive feature. There is no clear predominance of mountain landscapes or crystal sea, on the contrary, everything seems balanced. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the flow of tourists continues to grow from year to year.

Principina a Mare beach
9 Alberto Beconcini

Puntone beach

21st July 2023 We visited this beach as tourists aware that it was a private beach and paid 20 euros to rent a table, two loungers and a parasol for the day. We were placed at table number 15. During out stay we were robbed. Our bank cards, 50 euros, 30 pounds in sterling and our two mobile phones were stolen = someone at the private beach opened our rucksack and stole our property causing us anguish and distress as were tourists stranded in Italy and knew no one. We had saved hard for the trip over many years and it was destroyed that day in one go. Thieves operate everywhere that much we know and thieves stole property belonging to us causing us to have to return to the United Kingdom that day. I have carried out this review to warn others that we were targeted and put through this misery and I have a responsibility to notify the resort owners and those that visit it. What a shame that low lives operate here. A police report was made immediately.

Marina di Grosseto II
6 Emilio Dilorenzo

10 Lorenzo Santoro

The Uccellina agricultural estate boasts a stunning private cove that is nothing short of breathtaking. This secluded beach is wild and untamed, with no amenities or services to speak of. Accessible only by car with the estate's shuttle service (a 25-minute ride on a 4x4), by foot with a 2-hour journey, or by sea, this cove is a true hidden gem. Although the beach is mostly pebbles, it is advisable to wear rock shoes for added comfort. The water is crystal clear and the seabed is teeming with life, making it a true spectacle to behold. This is an experience that simply must be savored!

Punta Ala beach II
8 Lila Marconi

This beach is stunning and well-maintained, with super comfortable sunbeds. The staff at the entrance are friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that there are no bars, only coffee and water machines, so you'll need to bring your own food. The sea was a bit choppy, but still had stunningly clear water. For two sunbeds, an umbrella and two chairs, it cost €55, which is a bit above average, but worth it.

Cala Galera beach
10 Z M.

This stunning beach boasts crystal clear waters that are almost always calm, making it the perfect spot for families with young children. The free parking is a convenient bonus, and the view of the Feniglia and the fortress of Porto Ercole adds to the natural beauty of the area. The gradual slope of the sea bed is ideal for children to safely play in the water, and it's even better than the Adriatic. Out of the Giannella and Feniglia beaches, this one is the preferred choice for families with two children.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 45 beaches in the region, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!
