The beach is easily accessible by bus from Orbetello station, which saves you the hassle of finding parking. The sea is stunning and the beach is protected from the wind. You can choose between the free beach or two establishments with bars. Unfortunately, the beach is not completely shielded from the road above, but hedges do provide some protection.
The beach offers a blend of coarse sand and gravel, with a slender shoreline that is caressed by crystalline waters just a stone's throw away from the road. Two beach clubs provide sun loungers and parasols for rent, while a bar doubles as a restaurant and sits at the heart of the beach. Visitors can even rent pedal boats to explore the remnants of the Etruscan ruins, upon which modern villas have been erected. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and the staff at La Formica beach club were particularly friendly. Highly recommended!
Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find the beach uninviting. The proximity to a busy road made it difficult to find tranquility, and the air was tainted with the scent of car exhaust. The beach itself was littered with stones and debris, making it unsuitable for lounging or napping. Additionally, the long bed service was unavailable. If you plan on swimming, it is advisable to bring water shoes as there are many sharp stones and broken shells in the water. Overall, our experience was lackluster and we would recommend seeking out a different location.
This nice beach boasts crystal-clear waters and rocky outcroppings, making it the perfect spot for a refreshing swim or an exciting snorkeling adventure. The Italian sun shines down upon the picturesque scenery, creating a truly idyllic atmosphere. This beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful escape to nature's beauty.
While not the most spectacular beach one could lay eyes on, it still boasts a pleasant atmosphere for the western coast of Italy.
