The beach with stunning beauty and picturesque views. However, it is advisable to bring along a pair of beach shoes as the shoreline is quite pebbly.
The beach is absolutely stunning, boasting crystal-clear and tranquil waters that offer a breathtaking view. Although it's a rock and pebble beach, wearing beach shoes is highly recommended, but you can still get by with flip flops if you're cautious (as we did). The cost of two beds and one umbrella is only €10, which is a reasonable price, especially if you plan to spend the entire day there. The beach spans a considerable distance, providing ample space for visitors, and there are even areas without beds, allowing you to bring your own belongings if you prefer.
The shoreline lacks any amenities such as sunbeds, showers, or dining options. However, the water is astonishingly clear and the beach is made up of smooth pebbles. The scenery is breathtaking and offers stunning sights to behold.
This coastal region is an ideal location for a refreshing dip in the ocean waters. The shoreline is composed of smooth stones, providing a unique texture underfoot. Early birds will appreciate the ample parking available for their convenience.
Oh, what a delightful discovery Avalaki Beach was! Thanks to Yiota for leading us to this hidden gem located a few kilometers away from the main coastal highway on the NE side of Corfu Island. The beach boasts a perfectly-shaped horseshoe, and during our visit in late May, it was delightfully spacious and uncrowded. There was plenty of room to stretch out, ample parking, and crystal-clear waters that were simply stunning. While the beach itself is rocky, as is typical of many Corfu beaches, the water was a sight to behold. It was so clear that you could see straight to the bottom. There were only minor traces of rubbish, mostly plastic bottles from careless boat passengers or inconsiderate beach-goers. As you make your way down to the beach, you'll find several restaurants, but none are located on the beach itself. However, this didn't detract from our experience in the slightest. The water is incredibly saline, making it easy to float effortlessly. In fact, it's nearly impossible to drown, even if you tried! In conclusion, we highly recommend taking the time to visit this stunning and underappreciated beach. You won't be disappointed!
