Agios Stefanos beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 5th place out of 504 beaches in the Ioanian Islands region 28 km away from its center, the city of Corfu. It is one of the beaches of Agios Stefanos settlement, just 0.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and brown fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The expanse of the beach is vast and spacious, providing ample room for visitors to bask in the sun and enjoy the ocean breeze. The water is shallow for a considerable distance, making it an ideal spot for families with young children to play and splash around. However, the sand did not quite meet my expectations, as I had experienced a much finer quality on a different sandy beach the day before. Nevertheless, this is a great beach for families with children.
