This beach is gorgeous and there are plenty of places to get snacks and drinks. The tide never seemed to recede, which was really nice. I'd recommend wearing beach shoes as the sand can be a bit harsh on your feet when entering the ocean.
The beach is quite expansive, with some areas that are well-maintained and plenty of space for those who bring their own equipment. The water is incredibly clear, but it gets deep quickly. It's also a good idea to wear shoes as the stones can be difficult to walk on. If you're in the vicinity, it's worth a visit, but it's not worth driving 30km as we did.
I absolutely adore Skala! It's a small town, but it's incredibly pleasant and the people are so friendly. The beaches are stunning, there are some great restaurants, and there are plenty of supermarkets and parking spots. It's perfect!
This beach was great! It may not be the most picturesque in Kefalonia, but it was very tranquil even in the peak of August. There were always plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to take a break from the sun. The water was warm and crystal clear, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. 💕
The beach in Skala is a great spot, with a long stretch of sand and pebbles right in front of the main town. The water is crystal clear, and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to rent. There are also some watersport facilities along the beach, mainly to the left of the town if you're facing the sea. Plus, there are plenty of bars and restaurants running alongside the length of the beach.
