This beach is truly one-of-a-kind and it's difficult to come across another one that's as breathtaking. It boasts crystal clear blue water, white sand, and a combination of rocks and a shipwreck. It's an ideal spot for snorkeling, but you can only reach it by boat. During peak season, it can get quite crowded with tourist ships.
We decided to take the Voutirakos Cruises boat trip from the Port of Zakynthos to reach the well-known Navagio beach. However, the distance was quite long, and we would suggest taking the boat from Porto Vromi instead. The boat trip lasted four hours and cost 30 euros. During the trip, we stopped at Navagio beach for an hour and at Blue Caves for 40 minutes, where the boat anchored offshore and allowed people to dive. Although Navagio beach was breathtakingly beautiful, it was overcrowded with boats arriving every five minutes, bringing hundreds of tourists. The place was packed with people, making it difficult to move around. Due to the overcrowding, the boat staff was constantly yelling at people and being rude to them, especially the staff of Seven Island Cruises, to make room for the next wave of tourists. It was a terrible experience.
The beach is extremely crowded, but it's considered the best in Zakynthos. The blue color of the water is breathtaking. Although the beach can be difficult to walk on, it's still manageable. There are certain areas that are restricted due to falling rocks and hazardous ship parts, but it's still a great spot to go for a swim. You can easily access the beach from any town, and there are plenty of tours available. Unfortunately, not all tours are able to land due to the waves, but there are enough options to try again. It's important to remain calm in case of inclement weather, as a rocking boat in a crowded area can be dangerous. If you're a fan of swimming in crystal clear waters, this beach is definitely a must-visit.
I was absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of this beach - it's easily one of the most stunning places I've ever been to. Additionally, the beach has light, fine pebbles that make it perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this beach for a truly unforgettable experience.
Perhaps one of the most exquisite locations I have ever visited, this beach comes with my highest recommendations. Accessible only by boat, I embarked on a journey from Laganas, where a bus transported us to Zakynthos port. The boat ride lasted approximately one hour and thirty minutes, and upon arrival, we had one hour to relish in the beauty and snap some photos. The cost of the trip was around 35 euros, and we also had the opportunity to visit the Blue Caves for an hour. It's important to note that there are no cafes or snack vendors on the beach, so be sure to bring your own refreshments, or purchase them on the boat. The water is an incredible hue, and the beach itself is composed of small white stones. If you're not a fan of stones, it's wise to bring water shoes to protect your feet. This is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and capture some stunning photos.
