The beach also boasts a variety of excellent restaurants, serving up delicious meals and refreshing drinks that are sure to satisfy any appetite. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly beach with all the amenities, or simply a place to unwind and soak up the sun, this beach has it all. So pack your bags, grab your sunscreen, and get ready for an unforgettable experience at one of the most beautiful beaches around.
This beach is truly delightful and boasts a plethora of taverns and restaurants to satiate your appetite. Additionally, there is a charming beach cafe located in the harbor that offers a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. For those seeking adventure, you can easily rent standup paddle boards, kayaks, pedal boats, and motor boats from a vendor situated on the beach. If you prefer, there are other options for motor boats available along the roadside. However, be aware that this beach is in high demand and can become quite crowded on weekends.
For as long as I can remember, my family has made it a point to visit this beach every time we're in Greece. It's become somewhat of a tradition that's been passed down for three generations now, and we just can't seem to get enough of it. The water is so calm and serene, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely swim that's both refreshing and relaxing. And the view? It's absolutely breathtaking. The beach is surrounded by stunning scenery that's sure to take your breath away. Of course, no beach experience is complete without some delicious food, and this place definitely delivers in that department. The local cuisine is simply amazing, and we always make it a point to indulge in some of our favorite dishes whenever we're here. The only downside to this beach is how busy it can get. Over the years, it's become more and more popular, and it can sometimes feel a bit too developed for our liking. However, despite the crowds, the beach has still managed to maintain its charm and allure, and we always enjoy our time here. If you're planning a visit, we highly recommend getting there early in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening when it's not quite as hot and there are fewer people around. This makes it easier to find a spot to relax and soak up the sun. Plus, we love that they offer two chairs and an umbrella for only eight euros. All in all, if you're in the Chania area, this beach is an absolute must-visit. It's beautiful, relaxing, and offers a true taste of Greek culture and hospitality.
Oh, the beach! What a lovely place to waste your time and money. It's so clean and picturesque, you'll almost forget you're surrounded by sweaty tourists. The sand is so fine, you'll be finding it in your shoes for weeks to come. And the waters are so calm, you might as well just take a nap instead of swimming. If you're feeling adventurous (or just need to escape your family), it's only a 30-minute drive from Chania. And once you're there, you'll have your pick of cafes and restaurants. Just make sure to bring your wallet, because they know they've got you trapped. Of course, being small has its downsides. Like the fact that during peak season, you'll be fighting for a spot on the sand like it's the last lifeboat on the Titanic. But hey, at least you'll have some good people-watching opportunities.
We ventured to this beach amidst the presence of red flags on other shorelines across the island due to rough sea conditions. However, we were pleasantly surprised to discover a serene and tranquil ocean with crystal clear waters and a picturesque sandy beach. The prices were also reasonable, with sunbeds accommodating two individuals for a mere 8€, parking for 4€, and refreshing 0.5L bottled Mythos for 3.1€.
