Chartalami is located on the Sea of Crete (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 398th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 17.2 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Istro settlement, just 1.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a tiny bay with crystal blue water and brown sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Chartalami coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach offers of stunning scenery, yet the sight of litter scattered around is a major eyesore. The plastic debris that bobs on top of the water is particularly disheartening.

Alas, the natural beauty of the beach seems to have been marred. A sense of disappointment lingers as the surroundings fail to live up to expectations. A melancholic feeling pervades the atmosphere, as if the very essence of the beach has been lost. It is a pity to see such a stunning location fall short of its potential.
