Agia Marina is located on the Sea of Crete (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 173th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 8 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Plaka settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a straight coastline with crystal blue water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

A significant part of the beach has a restricted access. The beach facilities are only available to hotel guests. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. The beach is a hidden gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Although it may be a challenge to reach by car, the journey is well worth it. The absence of tourist boats allows for an undisturbed and pure atmosphere. The mandatory rocks and sun protection shoes are a small price to pay for the breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear waters. This beach is a true paradise that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

The island boasts breathtaking scenery that is definitely worth exploring. The panoramic view is simply magnificent and will leave you in awe. Admission fees are reasonable with adult tickets priced at 8 € and children's tickets at 4 €. For families, a fishing boat that accommodates two children costs only €24. Alternatively, you can opt for a tour boat ride, but it comes at a higher cost. Despite the higher price, the experience is worth every penny. So, is it worth it? Absolutely!
