Foneas beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 6th place out of 401 beaches in the Peloponnese region 72.2 km away from its center, the city of Tripoli. It is one of the beaches of Proastio settlement, just 1.2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

Although slightly secluded, the beach was still relatively easy to get to. A small cantina was available for coffee, water, and light refreshments. The water was stunningly clear and pristine. All in all, it was a fantastic location and definitely worth a visit for a refreshing swim.

Oh my goodness, this beach is absolutely breathtaking! The convenience of having a kantina and nearby parking is a major plus, as there's no need to park on the side of the road like some have suggested. There's ample parking available. It's recommended to bring along some chairs or other seating options for optimal comfort. The water is simply divine and a true highlight of this beach experience.

I went to the beach in mid-October during the late afternoon and it was practically deserted. The water temperature was pleasant, but most of the beach is covered in pebbles. To the left of the beach, there is a small cave, but be careful because there is a chance of sand or rocks falling from above. While there is a small bar, it's recommended to bring your own food, drinks, chair, and umbrella.
