Alikes beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 50th place out of 348 beaches in the Thessaly region 56.1 km away from its center, the city of Larissa. It is one of the beaches of Kritharia settlement, just 3.7 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with green water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

During the summer months, the beach attracts a lively and bustling crowd, making it the perfect place to people-watch and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

The beach is absolutely delightful, with a peaceful atmosphere and just the right amount of people. There are plenty of options for dining and refreshments, including charming cafés and restaurants. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and they are fluent in English, making communication a breeze.

Unfortunately, the beach experience was not pleasant as some of the showers were out of order and my companion who took a dip in the water ended up with rashes the next day. I decided not to swim and it was a wise decision as the scorching heat of 30-45 degrees Celsius coupled with the high humidity made me feel sticky and uncomfortable throughout my stay. All in all, it was not a memorable experience.
