Gusarica beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 166th place out of 378 beaches in the Split-Dalmatia region 59 km away from its center, the city of Split. It is one of the beaches of Komiza settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

The water at the beach is clear enough to swim in, although there is a slight smell of seaweed. As you move towards the diving center, the sand becomes more plentiful. Additionally, the beach is easily accessible.

This beach is located in the city and has a few positive features, such as areas with shade and sun, ensuring there's something for everyone. Although it's a rocky beach, the entrance is decent, especially if you head towards the diving center on the right. I'd give it a 4/5 rating, but be aware that during the peak summer months of July and August, it can get very crowded. To secure a spot in the shade, it's best to arrive by 9 am. One unique aspect of this beach is the presence of a church. Overall, it's worth a visit, but keep in mind that the shower facilities may not be available due to water restrictions during the summer.

The beach is lovely with crystal clear water and impeccably clean. Despite the unpleasant behavior of the lady at the beach bar, the beauty of the beach more than compensates for it. Renting beach chairs and umbrellas for the day is quite affordable.
