This beach is a hidden gem that is highly valued by those who understand the importance of preserving nature. It's important to remember to take your trash with you when leaving. The trail to get to the beach is steep, so it's not recommended for those who are out of shape or wearing flip flops, unless you have unlimited health insurance. There are no facilities at the beach, which is actually perfect. It's important to bring plenty of food, water, and hats if needed. The hike to the beach takes about 1 hour downhill and 1.5 hours uphill with breaks. I have great respect for those who are able to do it faster. This is a must-see destination, and it's suitable for children as long as they are properly equipped. They will cherish the memory of this experience for a lifetime. 💚
This beach is a true gem for those who love to hike and swim. It offers the perfect combination of both activities. We had an amazing time and every step we took was worth it. The water was crystal clear, allowing us to see every pebble beneath the surface. Despite the beach being relatively quiet, we still had plenty of space to ourselves with only around 10 other people present. Although there were some boats around, they didn't linger for too long. If you're planning on hiking, make sure you bring suitable footwear and plenty of water. Additionally, if you're prone to sunburn, don't forget to pack sunscreen and a parasol or tent for shade.
This beach is absolutely stunning! It's made up of pebble stones and the water is crystal clear and transparent. Swimming in this amazing place is breathtaking, especially with the view of the town of Lubenice on the cliff. To get to the town, it takes around 15-20 minutes from the main road, but the path is narrow and surrounded by stone walls, so be careful. Once you enter the town, there's a large parking lot on the left and the hiking trail to the beach is located near the coffee bar. The signs along the path are well-marked, and it takes about 1 hour downhill and 1.5 hours uphill. The upper part of the trail is through the woods, so there's plenty of shade, but some parts can be slippery due to the stones, so be sure to wear hiking shoes or sneakers. Overall, it was a wonderful experience on Cres. I visited on a cloudy day, and although the water was freezing, the experience was unforgettable. ❤️
The view was absolutely stunning and I felt a sense of liberation that I had never experienced before. However, the road leading up to the beach was quite nerve-racking. It would be wise to travel by motorbike or bicycle as the road is too narrow for two cars to pass. Also, be cautious of your tires!
The beach in Lubenice, a quaint village located on Cres island in Croatia, is open to the public free of charge.
