San Marino beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 15th place out of 315 beaches in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar region 60.7 km away from its center, the city of Rijeka. It is one of the beaches of Lopar settlement, just 0.8 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors, pet owners etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby. This area has also a water park in the sea with various inflatable toys which constitute excellent activities for parents and children. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sup-surfing, sea kayaking. This beach is popular for windsurfing or kiteboarding. There are also some surf spots.

Fans of active recreation can take part in beach volleyball.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach offers a serene and calm atmosphere, perfect for families with young children. However, finding a parking spot can be a bit of a hassle, but we were fortunate enough to secure one. If you plan on using a stand-up paddleboard, you may need to walk a short distance before the fin no longer scrapes the bottom. Once you're out on the water, you can explore to your heart's content. Keep in mind that there may be a few motorized boats in the area. Additionally, there's a small island nearby that's worth checking out.
