21st July 2023 We visited this beach as tourists aware that it was a private beach and paid 20 euros to rent a table, two loungers and a parasol for the day. We were placed at table number 15. During out stay we were robbed. Our bank cards, 50 euros, 30 pounds in sterling and our two mobile phones were stolen = someone at the private beach opened our rucksack and stole our property causing us anguish and distress as were tourists stranded in Italy and knew no one. We had saved hard for the trip over many years and it was destroyed that day in one go. Thieves operate everywhere that much we know and thieves stole property belonging to us causing us to have to return to the United Kingdom that day. I have carried out this review to warn others that we were targeted and put through this misery and I have a responsibility to notify the resort owners and those that visit it. What a shame that low lives operate here. A police report was made immediately.

This is an amazing beach, but it's best to avoid visiting during July and August. To access the beach, you need to book online ahead of time, and the booking page allows you to reserve your spot within 72 hours of your visit. The car park costs 10 euros, and it's 1 euro per person. There are no food or services available on the beach, so you'll need to bring your own food and plenty of water. However, there is a bar at the car park that sells drinks, pizzas, sandwiches, and local fruits at honest prices. We even bought some peaches and apricots from their land on our way back home, and they were delicious! The beach has breathtaking green water and a white sandy beach. The best times to enjoy the colors are early morning up to 12 and sunset time from 6pm. The car park closes at 9pm, so be sure to return on time. The walk to the beach is about 2km and takes about 30 minutes. The path is easy for the most part, but there is a steep hill on the way back that requires some effort. However, the majority of the path is shaded by trees, which helps to keep you cool. This is a wild beach, so don't expect to pay for umbrellas or sunbeds. We loved our visit and plan to return at the end of September when it's not as crowded.

The beach is stunning and the trek through the river is worth it. However, there are no amenities available, so it's advisable to bring your own supplies. I would rate it a 4 out of 5, only deducting a point for occasional seaweed sightings. Overall, it's a great spot in the busy Tuscany during August.

The warmest month during the year in this area is August, with the air temperature rising up to 29.9°C and the water temperature up to 26.2°C. The coldest month is January, with the air temperature dropping down to 11.1°C and the water temperature down to 15.1°C.
