I went here every summer for about 6 years, absolutely beatiful place, fun place to be with your kids, you can explore wildlife in the sea like sea urchins and splendid fish. The best thing about this place is its freedom and nature. Its surrounded by vegetation and rocks and its not a business, yes a private beach, you bring your umbrella and toys and you can enjoy a day at the beach without paying. It can be crowded SOME days, very rarely. However I put 4 stars because its ruined. I didn't put 3 because this place is nostalgic to me. However they replaced the beach pretty much, before it used to be clear and cold, now it feels like a muddy lake. Of course they made it way bigger and you can do more activities however its not the same experience. However be careful of the small white buoy and the brown buoy. They indicate a T shaped tube (White) and a cage with a T shaped tube inside of it (Brown). They are harmless however very scary to some people, after some time they will also start making bubbles which are still not harmful to you. However if you bump into these you will probably get scared and then eventually stand on them.
Deeply sheltered by lushly vegetated surroundings and overlooked by a XV century watchtower formerly owned by a famous 30s aviator, poggio del barbiere's placid clear water and sandy shores make for one of punta ala's more classic beach coves.
🙂
Simple long beach interrupted by boulders, crowded but liveable even in August. Fairly clean on shore, very transparent in the water. Remarkable is the shade offered all day by some maritime pines and the surrounding scrub.
Beautiful cove, partly rocky so with clearer water than just sand. The last part on the left looking at the sea is a free beach, the rest is equipped. In June 2022, a lot of sand was brought in (the sea had eroded it) so it appears, in part, almost like a dirt road rather than a "soft" sandy beach (certainly next year the discomfort will be reduced , the winter sea will restore everything). The part of the free beach has many trees behind it so as the hours pass (already around 11.00) the shade comes. Limited free parking, if you arrive late there is still paid parking (1.50 euros per hour, bring some money, the machines don't take paper money). At the roundabout there is a kiosk selling fruit and vegetables, a little further on on the left there is a barrier with some containers for collecting rubbish in front of it, go past the barrier and you will find the path that leads to Cala del Barbiere.
