The beach is always a sight to behold, no matter the season or time of day. It's the perfect spot to relax, have fun, and capture breathtaking photos. It's reassuring to know that such incredible places still exist, especially when you live nearby. I feel truly fortunate!
The beach is truly one-of-a-kind and definitely worth a visit. The view is fantastic. We went in the evening but unfortunately couldn't stay for long due to the incessant mosquito bites. It's advisable to have some mosquito repellent with you. I'm unsure if mosquitoes are a problem only at certain times or if they're always present.
I've never come across a beach quite like this one before! The scattered driftwood adds a breathtaking touch to the natural ambiance. Being here with my husband and dog brings me great satisfaction. Although there's a $10 fee to park inside Jekyll Island, it's definitely worth it! The water is a bit muddy and not too cold, and there are a few things to be cautious about. I encountered a variety of unfamiliar insects, some of which bit me. One particular large insect managed to pierce my skin, causing quite a flow of blood from my leg. It certainly wasn't a mosquito, sandfly, or horsefly. So, make sure to be cautious and have some insect repellent handy.
It was an amazing experience as it was my first time visiting this beach. Taking a walk along the shoreline is truly captivating, offering numerous opportunities for stunning photographs. The presence of dead trees and driftwood adds to the aesthetic, providing cool picture-taking moments that just require observation. I highly recommend this place for capturing breathtaking shots during sunrise or sunset. However, it is important to be cautious of the abundance of crabs, mosquitoes, flies, and various other creatures present in the area.
The view is absolutely breathtaking. This beach is truly unique and unlike any other! It's not ideal for spending the entire day as the 6-foot tide will wash away the small amount of sand available during low tide. However, it's definitely worth taking a short walk to reach this beach as it offers a stunning photo opportunity, especially during sunset. Even during the middle of the day, the beach is still incredibly beautiful. Certain areas have rocks, while others are suitable for a quick swim. Although the water is not crystal clear, it is pleasantly warm. I also noticed some dogs on leashes enjoying their time there.
