The most glaring issue with this beach is the absolute dearth of parking spots available. I was forced to cough up some cash to park in the nearby shopping plaza (which, admittedly, wasn't too expensive) and hoof it over to the shore. While I must concede that the snorkeling experience was truly phenomenal, the beach itself was rather underwhelming. The area designated for swimming and sunbathing was minuscule, and there wasn't even a shower to rinse off the salt water once you were done. However, I will say that the small section set aside for snorkeling was definitely the highlight of the day.
If you happen to be lodging at Aulani, do not miss the opportunity to take a stroll to this beach! It is a charming spot with a serene atmosphere. On both of our excursions, my spouse ventured up the rocks and stumbled upon sea turtles, which made for an exciting experience.
This natural oceanwater swimming pool is a divine creation by God himself! It's a perfect spot for snorkeling and observing green turtles and monk seals, especially for families with kids under 5-7 years old. Although the parking is limited to only 12 spaces and there are no public restrooms, my family's six-hour stay was worth the wait. As a father of two young girls, they were reluctant to leave and wanted to stay longer. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. and had to stop playing in the water around 11 a.m. because Hawaiian Monk Seals appeared in our playing area. It was a priceless experience for my children! To make the most of your visit, I recommend packing your lunch, arriving as early as possible, and being patient for parking. There are some tree shades, but bringing an umbrella is helpful in sunny weather. Beach chairs, swim tubes, boogie boards, and snorkeling equipment are also helpful. I hope you and your family have a fun-filled day at this beautiful beach!
This charming little beach is an absolute gem. With only about 15 parking spaces available, it's no surprise that they fill up quickly - usually by 9 am. However, the limited parking is a small price to pay for the opportunity to witness the resident sea turtles that call this cove home. These friendly creatures are quite social, but it's important to give them their space and avoid feeding them. The cove itself is a peaceful oasis, making it a perfect spot for families with young children to enjoy a calm day by the water.
We were incredibly lucky to witness some sea turtles swimming in close proximity to us during our visit to the beach. It was truly a mesmerizing experience that left us in awe. However, the parking situation was quite challenging as the availability of parking spots was limited. We arrived at 8:45 am and were only able to secure a couple of spots. I highly suggest arriving before 9 am to secure a spot and make the most of your time at the beach.
