Nestled in the charming coastal town of Seaside lies a stunning beach that is a delight for all ages. It offers an opportunity to explore and revel in the natural surroundings. The beach is a treasure trove of diverse shells, driftwood, and other intriguing objects that wash ashore. Strolling along the shore is a serene and rejuvenating experience. Visitors can be seen enjoying picnics, playing frisbee, and indulging in other fun activities. The trail is lengthy but level, and restrooms are readily available. During the peak summer months, it's advisable to arrive early to secure a parking spot. The beach is conveniently located near Seaside's exceptional locally owned stores and delectable eateries. An aquarium is also nearby, where you can learn about the local wildlife and marine life. Although the water remains chilly for most of the year, don't let that deter you from visiting year-round to take in the breathtaking view and breathe in the salty air. Seaside Beach is a muse, so don't forget to bring your camera, paper, or other art supplies. This place is genuinely a stunning gem to behold on the planet. May you relish the salty beach air and savor the sweetness of life!
The beach is absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit. The sand is golden and fine, making it a perfect spot for sunbathing and relaxing.
My expectations for this beach town were not met. I was anticipating charming boutique shops and the typical touristy souvenir spots, but instead found mostly arcades and an indoor carousel, giving off a fair or carnival vibe. Additionally, the majority of the shops closed early, at 6:00pm. However, the boardwalk was pleasant and I was entertained by a man creating large bubbles.
This was my inaugural visit to the beach, and we decided to come here to escape the heat in Vancouver, WA. We were delighted to find an abundance of sea creatures such as crabs, starfish, sand dollars, sand crabs, and ocean fish. Additionally, there are numerous shops to peruse, a carousel, a candy store, and, of course, the beach itself. The southern end of the beach is more serene, while the northern end is livelier with various dining options, hotels, a few swings, and a volleyball court.
We had a great time visiting Seaside, Oregon, which is always a fun place to go to the beach. During our four-night stay at the Duffy house on 8th avenue, we enjoyed walking around the area, which was made easy by its proximity to the north promenade. Although the weather was mostly good, there were a couple of days when it rained and one particularly windy day. Despite the weather, we managed to explore the beach, the aquarium, several restaurants, the carousel mall, and a couple of toy stores. We also took a few trips to Cannon Beach. Whether it's raining or sunny, there are plenty of things to do and see in Seaside.
