It was absolutely stunning. I caught a glimpse of a beacon in the distance. Unfortunately, there were no agates to be found.
On a gorgeous day, I ventured out to the tide pools near the lighthouse. During low tide, a tunnel is revealed, making for an exciting exploration. The area is teeming with diverse wildlife, adding to the experience.
Moolack beach offers a stunning vista of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. I am considering booking a stay at the Moolack Shores Inn during my next visit to the area.
You can discover remnants of clams in this location, and the shoreline is quite beautiful. It's a shame that there are a couple of individuals experiencing homelessness occupying the parking areas for beach access.
Moolack Beach is a fantastic coastal destination offering a variety of attractions. The path leading from the parking area to the beach is somewhat challenging, as it is a narrow and steep descent along a deteriorating cliff. Caution is advised as the path can be slippery. Although the trail is not lengthy, it does require a bit of patience. The beach itself is particularly captivating when heading towards the lighthouse. During low tide, numerous tidepool areas are accessible for exploration, depending on how far you are willing to venture. Some tidepools are conveniently located near the base of the trail, perfect for those who may find the descent tiring.
