Fogarty Creek Beach

Fogarty Creek is an exquisite destination for those who love to explore. The abundance of parking spaces and picnic tables, along with impeccably maintained restrooms, make it convenient for visitors. The trails leading down to the beach are easy to navigate and provide a delightful walk. The beach itself boasts a vast expanse of soft sand, perfect for lounging and basking in the sun. The salty air and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks create a serene and calming atmosphere. For those who appreciate a breathtaking sunset, taking a moment to explore Fogarty Creek is highly recommended.

There are ample parking spaces available on both the North and South sides of the beach. However, in my opinion, the amount of coastline compared to the parking lot seems disproportionate. Today, the beach was not too crowded, considering it was the day before Labor Day, but it could get crowded during peak times. The sand textures are noteworthy, with intriguing transitions. During high tide, you can walk along the beach for approximately a mile. Remember to pass the creek on the left-hand side and not hog it all to yourself.

In my opinion, Fogarty is one of the most charming and captivating beaches in the area. Although it may be smaller in size, the unique layout and steep incline into the water on one side make it stand out from other beaches. The nearby Clarion Inn is an excellent accommodation option, and the park leading out to the beach is filled with picturesque scenery that is perfect for capturing memories. There are plenty of benches and open spaces to host events, and the on-site bathrooms are decently maintained. Whether you are looking for a family getaway or simply a place to relax and appreciate the natural beauty of the Oregon coast, Fogarty is the perfect destination. The beach is conveniently located near towns, so you can easily find everything you need for the day without traveling far. The sunset views are breathtaking, with the striking rock formation on one side and an open expanse on the other. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend spending a day at Fogarty and immersing yourself in the serene surroundings.

This beach access was a delightful surprise that I will definitely visit again. The beach was full of excitement with magnificent rocks that were being pounded by the strong waves. The creek added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. The parking was convenient, especially if you are travelling north. After indulging in an early lunch, we continued our exploration. Walking barefoot on the beach was an incredibly enjoyable experience that I would highly recommend.

Undoubtedly a concealed treasure! The access to the beach is effortless and the restrooms are conveniently located near the parking area. I stumbled upon some agates on the shore and was surrounded by a diverse group of beach enthusiasts. The beachgoers consisted of mature couples and families, all of whom were displaying courteous behavior.
