Mile beach is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 2th place out of 28 beaches in the Maine region 58.9 km away from its center, the city of Augusta. It is one of the beaches of Georgetown settlement, just 3.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

I had a great time at mile beach. The weather was scorching hot, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees, but surprisingly, the beach wasn't crowded. I enjoyed sitting and reading, exploring the rocky areas, and even braved the freezing water to cool off. Although there is a sandy beach section, I preferred staying on the rocky side for a more peaceful experience. The scenery was absolutely stunning!
