This beach is not ideal for beachgoers due to the abundance of barnacles and rocks scattered along the water's edge.
The parking availability at this beach is quite limited, and there is a scarcity of sandy areas to sit on. During low tide, the beach can be rather unappealing. Unfortunately, we only visited once and did not enjoy it, so we are unsure of its conditions during high tide. If you have a preference for small beaches with less than desirable water quality, then this beach might be suitable for you.
The sunset at this beach is absolutely breathtaking. After 4 pm, you can park for free if you don't have a resident tag.
Brewster's bay beaches are truly exceptional, including this one. Even during high tide, the beach maintains a pleasant shallow slope. They provide convenient racks for kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, making it an ideal spot for water sports enthusiasts. Families will absolutely love this place, and it's worth mentioning that skim boarding is a must-try activity here.
The beach is pleasant, but it's important to be cautious of the water pollution. The water used to be pure and pristine until the construction of homes along Quivet Creek. Instead of having a sewage treatment plant, each home had its own septic system with a leach field. Due to the sandy nature of the entire area, all the sewage would eventually flow into the creek and reach the beach. Consuming clams or mussels from this area during the summer can lead to severe illness.
