The beach is safe and easily accessible for people with disabilities. It offers gentle waves in the bay and beautiful views. Although there are many small families with young children, you never feel like your privacy is being invaded. Overall, it is a comfortable beach experience.
This beach is a fantastic spot for paddleboarding. It's incredibly peaceful and serene, making it a highly recommended destination. However, it's important to note that the parking lot is quite small, so it's best to arrive early to secure a spot. We were fortunate enough to find one spot available in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. Additionally, there is a portable bathroom in the parking lot, which is sufficient for changing clothes and other needs.
This beach at Cape Cod is my absolute favorite. Although the parking space is limited, you can usually find a spot on the street in front of someone's house since the street is quite spacious. It is conveniently located near Hyannis harbor, which adds to the enjoyment as you can witness the ferries arriving and departing. Moreover, there are plenty of sailboats and kite surfers to observe in the harbor. Due to its location in the harbor, the water is pleasantly warm. During our visit in late July, it felt like bathing in warm water. Additionally, the water is shallow, but depending on the wind, there may be some gentle waves.
The beach and trails area is fantastic. However, during the summer season, you will need a residents permit to park from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The beach offers free parking, which is uncommon in Cape Cod. However, it lacks amenities such as bathrooms and a snack bar, so make sure to bring your own food. The beach provides stunning views, allowing you to observe the ferries coming and going from Hyannis harbor.
