The beach is fantastic. There is a pleasant promenade where you can take a leisurely stroll, and halfway through, there is a cafe and a pub. Additionally, there is a spacious car park available free of charge.
I've been to Newbiggen twice now and I absolutely love it. It's surprisingly peaceful, even on a sunny Sunday. The promenade offers a delightful stroll, with numerous options for grabbing a refreshing drink or indulging in some ice cream. The town boasts a fantastic fish and chip shop, as well as a charming bakery, a fresh produce store, and a convenient Co'op, just to mention a few. There's a caravan site located at one end, and it's also just a short walk along the cliff top to reach Sandy Bay caravan site.
The town is truly charming, with stunning beaches and delightful small shops. The sea-themed statue is absolutely breathtaking. It's a perfect place for lovely strolls with your furry friends.
This beach is perfect for families to visit. There are plenty of sandy areas where you can build sandcastles, rock pools to explore and search for creatures, and even WW2 pill boxes to discover. Additionally, there are numerous cafes where you can grab ice cream, hot chocolate, or even a more filling meal. I will definitely come back here again.
The beach is absolutely beautiful, with a charming statue of a couple in the bay. Towards the far end, there are rock pools near the maritime museum that kids will surely enjoy. It's a great spot for a leisurely walk or to take your dog for a stroll. Additionally, there is an abundance of artwork displayed along the promenade, which is part of the town's art trail.
