The beach was quite pleasant, but it was not a good place to eat. I observed a man using his hands after blowing his nose without washing them, and I also noticed someone eating chips right after they came out of the fryer.
We enjoy taking a stroll around Sandy Bay, especially the dunes, which our little dog absolutely adores. It's incredibly serene there. Additionally, there's a cozy café nearby where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a quick cup of tea near Trecco Bay campsite.
The beach is absolutely stunning, with sandy shores stretching out and a variety of arcades and attractions just a stone's throw away. The food options are excellent, including a Sausage bar where we grabbed some brunch and enjoyed it right on the beachfront. As a long-standing tradition, you can still spot donkeys here.
The beach is clean and pleasant, and dogs are only allowed during certain times of the year. The fairground used to be affordable, but prices have increased since the lockdown. Unfortunately, they now require wristbands. There are nearby options for delicious fish and chips as well as tasty ice cream.
The beach is a great place to spend a long time at. It is surrounded by lots of entertainment options and amenities. The only downside is the condition of the water and the cold temperature in the area. As you can see in the photos below, the beach hosts regular firework shows every Tuesday, which creates a strong sense of community.
