Ah, the beach. The ultimate destination for those seeking a mundane escape. This particular beach boasts of its cleanliness, and I suppose it does have a decent amount of parking. The toilets are also a plus, I guess. As for the beach itself, it offers a mix of rock pools and flat open sand. Oh, and let's not forget the good wind that's apparently perfect for kites. And if you're into questionable geological formations, there's something that looks like prehistoric coral. Although, who knows, I could be wrong.
The beach offers stunning rocky cliffs that offer breathtaking views and provide great hiking opportunities. It's an ideal spot for a romantic stroll with your significant other or a leisurely walk with friends. The beach also serves as a great caravan spot for those who love camping. However, it can be quite breezy at times, and during the season, parking fees can be a bit steep at £5. Additionally, the cost fairs may be a bit off and there aren't many facilities nearby except for seasonal ice cream. The beach is located about 35 minutes away from Cardiff, so it's recommended to bring a picnic or visit the nearest retail park in Bridgend.
The stunning beach is conveniently located near the enchanting Dunraven woods and castle. Depending on the tide, the beach boasts a vast expanse of soft, powdery sand or a charmingly rugged terrain of smooth stones. Regardless of the tide, the stones are consistently polished to perfection, offering a unique and delightful experience.
What a magnificent spot! Unlike some of the other beaches in Wales, this one isn't too crowded, so you can really relax and soak up the sun. And if you need a break from the sand and surf, there are toilets and refreshments conveniently located near the car park. Speaking of which, parking is available for just £5, and they even accept cards if you don't have cash. Just keep in mind that the lower car park only has a limited number of spots, so you might need to head to the overflow area. But don't worry, there are plenty of spaces there, and you can still catch the sunset if you remember to move your car before the gates close at 8pm. And the best part? This beach is the perfect place for a picnic on a gorgeous day.
The beach is nothing to write home about, with only a small strip of sand visible during low tide. The steep cliffs surrounding the beach are a constant reminder of the danger lurking around every corner. The car parks are inconveniently located at the top and bottom of the hill, making it a hassle to get to the beach. If you're looking for a peaceful day by the water, this is not the place for you. The waves are large and unpredictable, and the wind can be relentless, causing splashes that will leave you soaked to the bone. The only redeeming quality of this beach is the rock pools and formations, but even those can't make up for the overall disappointment of this dreary location.
