This charming and picturesque beach boasts a unique shingle shoreline that adds to its allure. As the day winds down, the cafe offers a delightful Sri Lankan curry that tantalizes the taste buds. While the beach is not licensed, it allows visitors to bring their own drinks and enjoy the stunning sunset that paints the sky with a myriad of colors.
What a charming pebble hideaway, brimming with character! Perfect for a refreshing dip in the ocean when the tide is high. The little ones had a blast bodyboarding during low tide, but the jagged rocks had me on edge. As a proud Sri Lankan, I can attest to the quality of the cuisine. A single adult meal set us back £13, while a child's portion was a mere £7. Keep in mind, they only accept cash due to spotty reception. Alas, there are no restrooms on site, so expect a ten-minute trek to the nearest one. While I couldn't spend the entire day here, it's a delightful spot to while away a few hours.
This charming cove is a true gem, boasting a snack shack that serves up some of the most delectable Sri Lankan curries around. From 5pm onwards, you can indulge in a scrumptious meal of two curries and rice for a mere £9.95. Savor your curry while taking in the breathtaking views of the sea, either on the sandy beach or from the comfortable benches. Trust us, this experience is not to be missed! 👌
This charming beach is a treasure trove of delightful rock pools, perfect for adventurous exploration. While it may not boast a sandy shoreline, the beach's shell and shale composition adds to its unique character. The calm waters are ideal for a refreshing dip in the sea, but on days with significant swells, the rocks can be uncomfortably close. When the wind picks up, the foam creates an impressive spectacle, much to the delight of children, but be sure to pack extra clothes as things can get messy.
Stunning location! We parked our camper van during the off-season and were pleasantly surprised that it didn't cost us a penny. However, the parking spaces are limited and it can get quite crowded, but we were fortunate enough to find a great spot and enjoyed our stay. We are already planning our next visit for a longer stay.
