Stumbled upon this hidden gem through the use of maps and Google. Our aim was to find a spot that was accessible and not too crowded, especially during the peak of summer. Previous reviews had warned us about the narrow and challenging road leading to the beach, and they were right - it's a single track that brushes against bushes, with numerous potholes and rocks. However, if you can brave the journey, there is a free car park and a short slope that leads to the beach. From the car park, you can even catch a glimpse of a waterfall cascading onto the shoreline - a rare sight! Although the beach is rocky, it's full of fascinating features such as rock pools, caves, and climbing opportunities. When the tide recedes, a small stretch of sand is revealed, making it ideal for swimming and surfing. But, be sure to pack your beach shoes as the rocks can be sharp. The surroundings are breathtaking, with picturesque walks along the cliffs. It's an unconventional beach experience that's both beautiful and entertaining, perfect for those seeking something different from the typical sandy beach scene.
This beach is certainly one-of-a-kind, with its rugged terrain and rocky outcroppings that make it anything but your typical sandy shore. But let's be real, who wants to lay out on a pile of rocks? And sure, the view is nice, but is it really worth the trek up those hills? I'll leave that up to you to decide.
This location is truly amazing! However, if you are looking for a sandy beach, this may not be the ideal spot for you as there are many stones. Nonetheless, even without the sun shining, the scenery is breathtaking! It is an ideal place to relax by the fire and enjoy the beautiful sunset or take your furry friend for a walk. The car park is small, and the beach is not overcrowded, making it a perfect place to unwind. ❤️
The beach is a stunning location to explore, with the added benefit of being relatively uncrowded. The car park is free of charge, which is a bonus. However, I would have rated it higher if the road leading to it wasn't so narrow in places and didn't have so many brambles. Unfortunately, the rough terrain has caused damage to our van's paintwork. The road is also littered with potholes, which makes for an unpleasant drive. If you have a small, powerful vehicle and can spend the entire day here, it may be more worthwhile. It would be greatly appreciated if the brambles were trimmed regularly to make the journey smoother.
Nestled away is a charming, secluded beach with an enchanting water feature and quaint stepping stones. Although the road leading to it may be a bit bumpy and narrow, there is a convenient parking lot at the end. The rocks scattered about offer a delightful opportunity for some gentle scrambling and climbing.
