This pebble beach is an ideal spot to relax and observe the constant flow of ships entering and exiting Southampton's docks. It's a haven for ship enthusiasts, so don't forget to bring your binoculars. I have fond memories of the Queen Mary passing by during my time living nearby on Upper Weston Lane. The sailing club, where my father would race his dinghies, is just a short distance down the shore. Simply being by the sea, listening to the sound of pebbles tumbling in the waves, is a perfect way to unwind. Keep in mind, if you're searching for a Mediterranean-style beach, this may not be your cup of tea. However, I personally adore it. The pavilions have been a charming presence since the late 1960s, adding to the overall appeal of this delightful location.
Strolling along this beach with your friends is an absolute delight, as you are treated to a breathtaking view and invigorating fresh air. The atmosphere is simply lovely, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing outing.
A prime location for beachgoers with ample access to the water for the general public to revel in. The beach offers a plethora of parking options, and visitors can indulge in delectable treats at the small cafe that remains open throughout the year. Additionally, an ice cream and burger van is usually stationed at the larger car park situated at the other end of the shore. Those seeking a fun-filled activity can try their hand at the only Pitch & Putt course located just behind the cafe.
Excellent play area for kids, highly recommended to arrive at least half an hour before sunset to fully appreciate the breathtaking views. The location of this beach is simply stunning, with picturesque surroundings that are sure to leave a lasting impression. Don't forget to also pay a visit to the nearby Madina Masjid, a stunning mosque located approximately three miles away. The mosque is truly a sight to behold, with separate arrangements made for ladies to ensure their comfort and privacy.
The pebble beach boasts a convenient takeaway van and ice cream van stationed in the car park, perfect for a quick snack. The little ones will be delighted to find a swing park nearby to keep them entertained. A leisurely stroll along the shore is a must-do, taking in the picturesque views. However, it appears that a careless individual has been using the car park as a dumping ground for their waste, which detracts from the overall experience.
