This beach is an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the company of loved ones. Take a leisurely stroll along the expansive boardwalk or venture out onto the sandy shore during low tide. It's the perfect spot to savor a picnic while gazing out at the sea. Plus, it's conveniently located near the city center and plenty of dining options. Despite being a small town, traffic is never an issue and parking is readily available.
This beach is quite lovely, though it is mostly comprised of stones. However, when the tide is out, there is some sand to enjoy. You can park your car within a two-minute walk, and the town is just one minute away. It's typically a peaceful spot, although it can get a bit windy at times - but that's to be expected.
While it may not be as bustling as Brighton, this beach has a unique appeal of its own. I had the pleasure of watching a meteor shower there last night and surprisingly felt more secure than I would have in Brighton. Overall, I am completely content with my experience thus far.
The beach is fantastic for families as it's situated close to a seafront path with plenty of opportunities to grab coffee or ice cream. It's great that the sea is easily accessible for the kids to swim, while parents can keep an eye on them. Additionally, the beach has light fine pebbles, which adds to its charm. The walk from the sea to the wheelchair accessible area is also not too far.
The beach is quite spacious and has lovely light fine pebbles.
