This beach offers a unique experience with two distinct halves. The northern half, also known as the Hippy Bar half, boasts uninterrupted swimming opportunities at any time of the day. However, the resorts in this area do slightly detract from the natural beauty of the beach. On the other hand, the southern half of the beach appears almost deserted, with beautiful and simple rooms set back from the shore. The only downside is that the tide recedes quite far, limiting swimming opportunities to high tide. Visitors are faced with a tough decision when choosing which half to explore, but both offer their own charm and allure.
As the sun began to rise, I took a leisurely walk along the beach. The only company I had were a handful of amiable dogs who seemed to be enjoying the peaceful morning just as much as I was.
The small beach situated on the west side of Phayam island was a delightful surprise. The beach is adorned with a plethora of naturally formed rocks that create picturesque photo opportunities, especially during the tranquil evening hours before and during sunset. I highly recommend visiting this beach if you plan on staying in Koh Phayam for a night or two. During our stay at Blue Sky Resort, we rented a tractor with a trolley from the hotel, which took us on a 15-minute ride through the charming village to the beach. The convenience of this activity before dinner was unparalleled. After capturing enough pictures and watching the sun completely disappear, we headed back to the resort where dinner was already waiting for us. It was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience!
Located in the vast expanse of the Andaman Sea, lies a stunningly beautiful beach that boasts of a myriad of colors that come alive in the bright sunlight. This beach is known for its unique textures and patterns that can be appreciated from high vantage points. It is truly a sight to behold and an experience that can only be fully appreciated in person.
This beach is a real gem, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some unexpected foot hazards - a plethora of glass shards scattered about. Fear not, though, as most of the pieces have been worn down to a harmless state. The beach itself is quite tidy with a dearth of plastic waste, minimal stones, and only a handful of shells. It's the perfect spot to take a dip, go snorkeling, or simply lounge in the sun. There are plenty of bars and eateries lining the shore to keep you refreshed. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even try your hand at fishing - just be aware that there aren't too many boats around, making it a safe and peaceful place to swim. The sunsets here are truly breathtaking, but if you're looking for something even more spectacular, check out Ao Yai Beach instead. All in all, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
