Vermelha Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 234th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 132.7 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Mambucaba settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Vermelha Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis.

This particular beach is located closer to Paraty than Angra, taking approximately 42 minutes to reach by car. A free parking lot is available, and on less crowded days, there is always space. During my visit in October, the beach was empty on a Saturday. Access to the beach is through a condominium, which only allows residents and guests to enter by car. If you are able, I highly recommend taking the walk, although it may be difficult for wheelchair users due to the steep descent and ascent later on. The beach has a "tumble" style, meaning that a few meters away from the shore, the ground is no longer stable. However, the water is calm with no waves, only gentle oscillations. The sand is soft and white, and there are chairs and umbrellas available for rent at 50 reais. Additionally, snacks and portions are available for purchase, and if the consumption reaches 80 reais, the table is free. Some may view
