It could have been a beautiful spot for swimming, but the reservoir is so low that it's now a ten-minute walk from the trees to a much smaller area of water. It's disappointing. However, it's still a peaceful and pleasant place.

The beach is a local spot with a rocky incline that is unfortunately covered in litter like empty packets and bottles. It would greatly benefit from having bins provided by the council. Despite the unsightly mess, the water is lovely for a refreshing swim.

This area is really nice. The road to get there is well-maintained and the beach itself is quite clean. Finding parking might be a bit tricky, but it's doable. There isn't a lot of shade, so be sure to bring your umbrella, sunscreen, and maybe some chairs. It's a great spot for kids, and the water isn't as cold as some other rivers in the summer.
