Are you in search of a tranquil beach with fresh water? Want to go canoeing or simply unwind? Look no further, as this secluded lake beach near Malaga is the ultimate destination.
Oh my gosh, this place was a hidden gem. I stumbled upon a small, secluded lake beach nestled among majestic mountains.
Valdearenas Beach stretches for a kilometer and a half, providing ample space for various activities. One of its highlights is the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the safe and calm fresh water, as there are no waves. Additionally, the beach is a great destination for water sports enthusiasts, offering options like sailing, kayaking, pedal boats, and even rafting. For those interested in exploring the area further, there is also the chance to take a boat trip from the nearby Lake Iznájar Nautical Station. Furthermore, Valdearenas Beach, located within the Valdearenas Natural Park, is dog-friendly, ensuring that our furry friends can have a wonderful time as well.
It was absolutely wonderful to have the opportunity to enjoy this small artificial beach, especially since it is quite a distance from the actual beach. The water was pleasantly warm, and the beach itself was pristine and covered in soft sand. Additionally, there is a small kiosk where you can purchase refreshments, and further down the beach, there is an English café and a campsite. We all had an amazing day here, although I do regret not taking the time to explore the village on the other side of the bridge. Without a doubt, we will come back to this place during our next visit. The drive to reach this destination was incredibly scenic, as the road gracefully wound its way through the mountains. It truly made for a fantastic day trip.
It was absolutely delightful. The beach wasn't packed with people, it was just the right amount of busy. The weather was scorching and the scenery was breathtaking. I absolutely loved it!
