Praia da Ribeira is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 58th place out of 187 beaches in the Pontevedra region 38.4 km away from its center, the city of Pontevedra. It is one of the beaches of Baiona settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

I visited the beach in September on a hot day and it was very clean. There was also a bar for refreshments and a padel tournament going on.

Situated in a really nice area close to the fortress. Unfortunately, there is not much shade, so you'll need to bring an umbrella. The water was too cold for my liking, so I couldn't go for a swim. Most people just stand in the water but not many people go all the way in. As for parking, there's practically none, apart from a paid lot nearby.
