The beach can be beautiful depending on the tide, but sometimes the water can be green and smelly. Due to the hotels nearby, it's not the most hygienic beach and the water can have an unpleasant odor like a sewer. However, if you're lucky, you can get clear blue water and the beach is beautiful; it feels like a pool, and you can spot fish swimming around. Plus, it's easy to access, making it a great option for a day out.
I had a lovely evening stroll along this stunning beach with its golden fine sand. The beachfront was lined with great restaurants, making it a must-visit destination.
Playa Flamingo is a sight to behold, with its golden sands. It tends to be quite crowded, but you can get to it on foot from the restaurants. Parking is easy, but unfortunately the ice cream man only takes cash. Otherwise, this beach is a great place to spend the day.
Perfect spot for a family day out. It has sheltered white sands and is easily accessible, plus there are plenty of amenities right on the promenade.
This beach near Las Brenas is one of the most beautiful and busiest around the area, with crystal clear waters and golden fine sand. If you're looking for somewhere to relax, you can rent a sun lounger and umbrella, or just bring your own towel. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, as well as the Papagayo commercial shop. If you're feeling active, there's even a small beach volleyball court and an outdoor gym.
