This wild beach in Callao is a sight to behold - cobbled paths, banana plantations and narrow wagons combine to create a picturesque landscape. Sadly, there is no lifeguard on duty, no showers and no rescue - so it's a beach that can be dangerous if you're not careful and you may end up being one of the unfortunate visitors who has drowned here in the past.
This spot is a great to visit, with two large parking lots on either side. The first one has a space specifically set aside for caravans, and a beach of black sand that is revealed when the tide recedes. There are also pools to bathe in, connected by pathways of stone. The second parking lot is right next to the larger beach, and there is a walkway connecting the two parts. The only downside is the lack of bathrooms and the unpleasant smell of urine that mars the peace and beauty of the walk.
That place might be aesthetically pleasing, but all the wildness of the sea makes it not so great for snorkeling. In other words, don't expect to see much while you're underwater.
Unwind and take a break. Let the calming waves of the ocean wash away your stress and worries. Enjoy the soothing atmosphere of the beach and let the tranquility of the moment bring you peace.
The crystal-clear waters of this beach are an absolute delight to behold. If you're a fan of scuba diving or snorkeling, the effort you'll have to put in to make it in safely is well worth it. Once you're in, the underwater world is simply stunning!
