The descent to the smaller beach isn't too difficult or time consuming. The sand is a black, volcanic variety that will stick to everything, which is a bit of a nuisance, especially if the beach shower isn't working. The waves, although small, were surprisingly powerful, so I wouldn't recommend swimming here. If you're looking for a beach experience, head to Punta Larga instead.
A great spot with black sand and is accessed by a long set of stone steps. There's a seating area halfway down for taking off sandy shoes. The scenery here is stunning and there's a cafe and toilets (when the cafe is open).
That place was the perfect spot to relax - a small, beautiful beach with black sand. It was a bit of a trek to get there, as the steps leading down from the road were quite long. Unfortunately, the kiosk wasn't open when we visited. Still, it was a great experience and we had a wonderful swim.
This stunning volcanic beach is the perfect spot for a fun-filled day of splashing around in the crystal clear, warm waves. You'll need to be fit enough to tackle the many steps and hills, but the view from the top is definitely worth the effort!
This location is a hidden gem! The black sand is so unique and the peaceful atmosphere is perfect for a day trip. There's a little shop at the top that opens before lunch, so you can get all the supplies you need. We spent the morning creating masterpieces out of the stones, and it was a great way to pass the time. It's in the middle of nowhere, but it's definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended!
