It is one of the beaches of Velilla-Taramay settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and gray fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

The best around here because of its stones rather than sand. Consequently, it's usually less crowded than other beaches. The stones also create a steep drop off into the sea, perfect for swimming. Additionally, it's easily accessible and it has a phenomenal chiringuito.

I absolutely adore Almuñécar - it's such an incredible place with friendly locals and plenty of shops to keep you content and your fridge stocked. During the summer, there are many bars along the beach, however, that number dwindles during the winter months.
