Playa Faro de Calaburras is a beautiful spot, just off the highway, with plenty of stones. We had the pleasure of visiting twice in one week and were delighted to spot dolphins both days! The sand is a gorgeous shade of gray, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy.
The beach we visited in October was lovely, and surprisingly empty - we didn't see a single person! The kids had a great time in the water, despite the strong waves. One thing we noticed was that the sand was a unique shade of gray.
I wouldn't suggest going to this beach. It may be beautiful, but it's not worth the trouble.
Thia is excellent beach, with wheelchair access and plenty of lifeguards. The restaurant serves great Spanish food, wines, beers, and spirits, and you can even dine at your sunbed. It's always busy in the summer months, so parking can be a problem, but it is easy to access.
That place is small and not so quiet due to the cars, but it is still easily accessible and a great spot to relax and enjoy the sunshine and the sea!
