Playa del Saladar is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 87th place out of 147 beaches in the Alicante region 8.2 km away from its center, the city of Alicante. It is one of the beaches of Altet - P2 settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with blue water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

When I'm looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I head to my favorite spot - the beach. With its calming waves and peaceful atmosphere, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax. Whether I'm taking a stroll along the shoreline, soaking up the sun, or simply enjoying the sound of the waves, I'm sure to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

The beach was unfortunately filled with algae due to a recent storm, leaving them there for the duration of the vacation. The city council unfortunately didn't take any action to remove them like they did in more popular tourist destinations such as San Pola, Benidorm, etc. Unfortunately, due to its close proximity to the airport, the noise from the planes taking off is quite loud. On the plus side, there are almost no people around.

Anything but peaceful, with a strong easterly wind blowing in and bringing with it a layer of algae. Not the ideal spot for families with children, as the beach can be quite dirty.

That place is an ideal spot if you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle. The sand is so fine, you'll feel like you're walking on a cloud. The breeze is always blowing, keeping it cool, and there's never too many people around. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes close by if you're in the mood for a snack. Highly recommended if you're looking for a beach without the crowds!
