A picturesque shoreline awaits those willing to take a brief hike from Grand Anse through Petit Anse. This hidden gem, which can only be accessed by foot, boasts a breathtaking rock pool at its far end. The beach itself is simply lovely, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking natural beauty and tranquility.
La Digue boasts one of the most stunning beaches around. While swimming may not be ideal due to the powerful currents and waves, the picturesque scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The journey to this hidden gem takes approximately 30-40 minutes from Grand Anse beach, winding through lush jungles, resulting in a much more secluded experience. As the sun begins to set, it's highly probable that you'll have the entire beach to yourself. Additionally, there's a natural pool located at the end of the beach, adding to the allure of this remarkable destination.
I ventured to this beach with a specific destination in mind - the natural pool nestled at the end of the left-hand side. While the waves can be quite strong along the rest of the shore, the natural pool provides a safe haven for those seeking a more tranquil experience. Although it may not be the most picturesque spot, it certainly holds its own unique charm. As an avid snorkeler, I found it to be a fantastic spot to explore the underwater world. Initially, I was apprehensive about the hike to reach this hidden gem, as my husband had recently dislocated his elbow. However, the path proved to be manageable, with only a few minor inclines that posed no significant challenge. In total, the journey took us no more than 30 minutes, leaving us with plenty of time to soak up the sun and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
This beach is truly one of the most exceptional ones I have ever come across. Grand Anse and Petite Anse pale in comparison to the beauty and uniqueness of this hidden gem. A leisurely stroll through the forest and rocky terrain for about 35-40 minutes is all it takes to reach this paradise. The breathtaking views and majestic waves are simply awe-inspiring. But the real treasure lies at the far end of the beach - a natural pool with crystal-clear waters and no waves, perfect for snorkeling. If you find yourself on La Digue, this is definitely a must-visit destination that will leave you mesmerized.
Cocos beach, situated on Ladigue, is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular destinations to visit. Despite its remote location and challenging path, this beach offers a serene and secluded experience with fewer crowds. The raw beauty of this untamed beach is what makes it stand out and it has become my personal favourite. The natural surroundings are simply breathtaking and make for an unforgettable experience.
