The beach is truly stunning and definitely worth a visit, but be prepared for crowds and a bit of a walk to find some solitude. At low tide, there are plenty of rocks and not much water near the sand, so keep that in mind if you plan on hiking along the beach for photo opportunities and to admire the rock formations. Swimming may not be the best option here.
La Digue Island boasts some truly magnificent beaches, which are definitely worth checking out. Of course, before you can even get there, you'll need to fork over 150 roupies (or 12€) per person to access the natural park. But hey, what's a little cash when you're about to see some turtles, right? Speaking of which, you'll pass by a turtle house on your way to the beach, where you can observe around 30 of the little critters. Once you've had your fill of turtles, go ahead and park your bike near the beach. And don't worry about getting hungry or needing to pick up some souvenirs - there are a few local gift shops and restaurants right at the entrance. Once you're all set, it's time to hit the beach. With its crystal clear waters and multiple spots to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect place to soak up some sun and relax. Just keep walking until you find the one that speaks to you the most.
It's evident why this beach is highly praised by visitors. The harmonious combination of granite boulders, soft sand, and the vast sea creates an idyllic and breathtaking scenery. Despite only having a brief 90-minute visit during a guided tour, the experience was undoubtedly valuable and memorable.
Staying here is simply amazing! The natural beauty of the beach is truly breathtaking. For the best experience, I highly recommend visiting early in the morning or during sunset to witness the stunning colors and atmosphere.
This beach is definitely worth a visit, but it's best to plan your trip for the morning when it's less crowded. Keep in mind that there is an entrance fee of around 100 rupees to get through the park gates.
