Galapinhos boasts a charmingly petite beach that is a true gem for those seeking a secluded and serene spot. When the tide recedes, it is possible to amble from Galapinhos to this picturesque beach. I highly recommend it as a must-visit destination for anyone in search of a tranquil and intimate setting.
Nestled in the picturesque Serra da Arrabida lies a stunning beach that is truly a sight to behold. While it may require a brief stroll down from the road, the path is well-defined and the incline is gentle enough for most visitors. For those looking to beat the crowds and avoid any road closures during peak season, it's advisable to arrive before 8am.
The beach located in the Arrabida national park is truly breathtaking, offering a serene and tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. While the beach may be somewhat secluded, it is still easily accessible from both Lisbon and Setubal. It is important to note that there are no restrooms, restaurants, or other services available on this pristine stretch of sand, but the crystal clear cold water and natural beauty of the surroundings more than make up for any lack of amenities.
The beach at Parque Nacional da Arrábida is my absolute favorite! Although the path to reach it may be a bit challenging, the rewards are definitely worth it. You'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the beach is usually deserted, giving you the opportunity to have it all to yourself.
Without a doubt, this beach stands out as the most exceptional one in the Lisbon area. The journey from Lisbon to this hidden gem takes approximately an hour by car, but the effort is well worth it. Although the ascent from the street to the beach can be challenging, the reward is a secluded paradise with pristine, velvety sand. The small bay is ideal for those seeking a tranquil day at the beach without the usual tourist crowds.
