Galapos beach is located on the North Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 29th place out of 84 beaches in the Lisbon Area region 29 km away from its center, the city of Lisbon. It is one of the beaches of Vale da Rasca settlement, just 2.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Galapos beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sup-surfing.

The beach is a wonderful place to spend your day. The scenery is breathtaking and the sound of the waves is so calming. However, one downside is that there are no facilities available to wash off the sand from your feet or take a shower.

This beach has completely stolen my heart! The breathtaking views are simply stunning and the crystal-clear water is absolutely mesmerizing. To top it off, it's conveniently located near Lisbon and easily accessible. During the summer months, a daily and frequent bus service runs from the Setúbal train station, stopping just above the beach. Although it takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes to get there from Lisbon, the experience of this small slice of paradise is worth every minute of the journey. There's a bar/restaurant on the beach offering affordable drinks and delicious seafood, as well as showers and toilets for your convenience. For those seeking maximum comfort, beach chairs and umbrellas are also available for rent.
