Whatipu Beach is located on the Tasman Sea and it is in the 23th place out of 86 beaches in the Auckland region The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Whatipu Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

Please note, that this shore has a significant low tide.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail about 500m long. Parking is located at some distance, within 300 meters.

Amazing experience when we visit Whatipu Beach when we arriving in car park we walked around 20 minutes to reach a Beach side, we amazed because we saw the people fishing, walking, swimming And unexpected we mate some of my friends fishing catching big Snapper in Ninepin Rock.

A beautiful black sand beach on western side of Auckland. It is very pleasant and secluded beach. The road to this beach is unsealed and will take a bit of time to reach there.

Very Spiritual place, with a big history, Most Surreal place to go, Magnetic Black sand, changing Scenery, very mystical, long walks, Amazing caves, You can camp here for a very little price, there is also a lodge if you feel like staying, price can be a little costly but worth the adventure, Beach is very Beautiful, but beware and be careful of your surroundings as it can change.

Another unique beach of Auckland west coast. One of the most beautiful one. You find amazing landscape with mountains as the background, long black sand beaches, rocks, fishers, birds. We generally starts with a ½ day hike in the regional park before we come to this beach end of the day with outstanding lights.

Such a beautiful beach. There is black soft sand, it is clean and not that busy on the beach. The parking lot got very busy (after 12/1 pm). It got very windy especially on the left side between the 2 mountains on the beach. Caves are unfortunately closed.
