Gibbes beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 26th place out of 42 beaches in the Barbados region 15 km away from its center, the city of Bridgetown. It is one of the beaches of Rock Dundo settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Gibbes beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

As someone who has been visiting this beach since my younger years, I feel a sense of familiarity and comfort whenever I return. The calm waters, although occasionally rough during the month of December, provide a tranquil atmosphere that is ideal for both groups and families. Shade is abundant, making it easy to escape the sun's rays when needed. If you plan on spending the day, be sure to pack your beach towels and chairs. However, it's important to note that there are no trash bins on the beach, so please remember to take all of your garbage with you when you leave.
